About Best Coloring Apps

Best Coloring Apps is an editorial publication dedicated to finding, testing and ranking the best coloring apps available today — for kids, toddlers and adults, on iPhone and iPad. We exist because the coloring app category on the App Store is large and uneven: some apps are genuinely well made, and many are thin, ad-heavy, or poorly suited to the age group they claim to serve.

Our goal is simple: when you want to know whether a specific coloring app is actually worth downloading — or which one is the best fit for your kid's interests, your iPad, or an ad-free household — this is the site that should have a straight answer, backed by hands-on testing.

What We Do

We install and test coloring apps ourselves, score them against a consistent framework (the BCA Score), and publish reviews, rankings and comparisons based on that testing. We cover both third-party apps and apps developed by companies affiliated with our own team — clearly disclosed in every case. See our full developer relationship disclosure.

What We Don't Do

We don't publish paid placements disguised as reviews, and we don't inflate scores for apps we're affiliated with. If an app underperforms in testing, that shows up in its score and review — regardless of who built it.
